Multi-date series
A multi-date series asks a guest to book several dates at once instead of one at a time. Good for a course, a set of coaching calls, or anything you sell as a block. It is a Pro feature.
Turn it on
- Open Settings → Event Types and pick an event type.
- Go to the Multi-date series section and switch on Guests book several dates at once.
- Set the dates and the gap, then press Save. Changes apply to new bookings. Bookings that already exist keep the dates they were made with.
Turning the switch off is never blocked, even on a plan that no longer includes the feature. If your plan lapses while a series is live, guests keep booking several dates and the settings lock until you turn it off.
The settings
- Dates per booking — from 2 to 10. Three to start with. The guest must pick every one of them.
- The gap starts at one day, which means two dates cannot share a day.
- Dates can be back to back — on means the guest may pick two days in a row. Turn it off and a Smallest gap between dates field appears, from 2 to 30 days.
- Allow two dates on the same day — sits under the switch above and drops the gap to nothing. The dates still cannot overlap each other.
- Each date has its own title — name every date, up to 255 characters. Leave one blank and it takes the event type's name.
- Each date has its own length — from 1 minute to 24 hours per date. Leave one alone and it takes the event type's duration.
Switching the title or length toggles off hides what you typed but does not throw it away. Switch them back on and your values are still there.
Two things to watch
- A series is for one guest. If Max attendees is set to anything other than 1, the switch is off and cannot be turned on. Set it to 1, or remove the limit, first.
- The dates and the gap together need room inside your booking window. The form warns you when they do not fit, because a guest would then find no set of dates they could pick. Widen the booking window under Booking limits.
What the guest does
The guest picks a time, confirms that date, then picks the next one. They work through the list until every date is picked, and only then do they fill in the booking form. Dates that break your gap rule are greyed out on the calendar as they go, so they cannot pick a set you would refuse.
Every date is a booking of its own, with its own manage link. A manage link opens the date it belongs to and offers Reschedule, Cancel booking for that date alone, and Cancel all dates for the whole series. Your cancel and reschedule rules still apply, and dates that have already started stay as they are.
Cancelling and following up
- From Bookings or Calendar you get the same two choices: Cancel this date or Cancel all dates. A date that has already started is left alone.
- Each date sends its own confirmation, its own calendar invite and its own reminders, because each date is its own booking. A guest who books four dates gets four confirmations.
- Webhooks fire one event per date. Each one carries the series it belongs to, which date it is, and how many there are in total.
- A date can only move inside its own place in the order. A move that would put date 3 after date 4, or too close to the date beside it, is refused.
