Zoom
Connect Zoom and every booking of a Zoom event type gets its own meeting, with the join link in the guest's emails and on your calendar.
Connect Zoom
- Open Settings → Connections and select Connect next to Zoom.
- Sign in at Zoom and approve the four permissions we ask for: create a meeting, update a meeting, delete a meeting, and read your user profile.
- You come back to CallSlot with Zoom connected.
- Zoom is per person, not per space. Each host connects their own account.
- One Zoom account per person. Connecting a second one replaces the first.
Use it on an event type
- Open Settings → Event Types and edit an event type, or make a new one.
- Set its location to Zoom. An event type has one location, so this replaces whatever was there. The Zoom option stays greyed out until you connect.
- The join link goes in the guest's confirmation email, the calendar invite, the guest's booking management page, your Google Calendar event, and the reminder, reschedule and host notification emails.
- The meeting is made just after the booking is saved, and the guest's confirmation email waits for the link. That email can arrive a few minutes later than the booking.
- Meetings use your own Zoom account defaults — waiting room, join before host, and so on. CallSlot does not change them.
- Zoom plan limits still apply. A free Zoom plan still stops a group meeting at 40 minutes.
Reschedules and cancellations
- A reschedule moves the same meeting, so the join link stays the same.
- A cancellation removes the meeting from your Zoom account.
- Both need the connection. If Zoom is disconnected, a cancellation leaves the meeting in place — remove it in Zoom — and a reschedule leaves the Zoom meeting at the old time while the guest's email shows the new one.
When the link is missing
A booking shows one of two lines. Joining details will follow means the link is still being made. Joining details were not available — contact the host means CallSlot gave up.
- CallSlot gives up when Zoom is down or refuses, when you have no Zoom connection, or when Zoom is not set up on this deployment.
- CallSlot does not try again later. Send the guest a link by hand, then fix the connection for the next booking.
- Zoom is not set up in the location picker means the site operator has not added Zoom credentials yet.
- If the connection goes away, the event type shows a warning inside its location field asking you to connect Zoom first. Zoom also drops the connection itself when it rejects our access, so the row on Connections simply offers Connect again.
Remove the integration
- In CallSlot: open Settings → Connections and select Disconnect next to Zoom. Your Zoom credentials are deleted at once.
- Or in Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps and remove CallSlot. Zoom tells CallSlot, and your credentials are deleted for you.
Either way, meetings for bookings you already have are not deleted and their join links keep working. Only new bookings change: an event type set to Zoom warns you until you reconnect or pick another location.
